PlayStation recently announced which games are coming to PS Plus in its second December update, the last one the service will receive for 2023. This final slate of games includes Grand Theft Auto V, along with several Shadowrun and Mega Man titles. The new games, which are for PS Plus’s Extra and Premium tiers, all roll out today, December 19.
Grand Theft Auto V is undoubtedly the headliner, as its the biggest game in the update, especially as Rockstar Games recently revealed the sequel Grand Theft Auto VI. However, it’s far from the only worthwhile title: Others in the update include Team Ninja’s action-Soulslike Strangers of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin; racing title Moto GP23; rhythm action game Metal: Hellsinger and 2D soulslike RPG Salt and Sacrifice.
The Shadowrun series is a staple of the December slate, as three titles join: Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall – Director’s Cut and Shadowrun: Hong Kong – Extended Edition. The final games in the update are first-person shooter Prodeus; dark Metroidvania Moonscars; multiplayer brawler Gigabash; ARPG Grime; and puzzle-platformer Tinykin.
Mega Man 11 joins for both Extra and Premium tiers, but Mega Man Legacy Collections 1&2 are only in the Classics library for Premium-tier members. Other additions to the Classics library include park-building sim Thrillville and its sequel Off the Rails and platformer Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.
